Duration of the Program
The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) of the prestigious University of Oxford, is a multidisciplinary research and teaching department, dedicated to the social science of the Internet. Increasing technological interactions generate data about the social and physical world at an unprecedented rate and scale. The OII invests immensely in engaging with the conceptual aspects of transformations brought about by this information revolution.
The Institute offers two Postdoctoral research positions. The selected candidates will have exciting opportunities to contribute the research of the Digital Ethics Lab (DELab) of the OII.
The researchers will collaborate with Professor Floridi and Dr Taddeo in order to: (1) identify and analyze normative and regulatory aspects and design requirements underpinning the development and regulation of the use of digital technologies; (2) collaborate with the other members of the Digital Ethics Lab (DELab) at the Oxford Internet institute, University of Oxford; (3) consolidate collaborations about original and innovative solutions to foster ethical design and regulations of digital technologies.
The selected candidates will be based at the DELab, at the Oxford Internet institute, University of Oxford.
Requirements & Conditions

The candidates must have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline such as philosophy (e.g., philosophy of technology, ethics, applied ethics, philosophy of law), law, security studies, Science and Technology Studies, other social science disciplines (e.g., economics, international relations), or a mathematical science (e.g., computer science, data science).
- Excellent writing, presentation abilities, and analytical skills.
The selected candidates will be assigned to Salary Grade-7 (£31,076 – £38,833 p.a.)
