The Berlin Summer University of the Arts invites artists, designers, musicians and creative minds from around the globe for its Summer University held from June to October 2018. Offering a wide selection of workshops in all artistic disciplines – Music, Design, Performing Arts and Fine Arts a team of internationally recognized lecturers will introduce current artistic techniques and discourses in both experimental and classical ways.
It is also a great chance to increase your knowledge in the fields of Marketing, Arts Management, and Creative Entrepreneurship in one of the most artistically vibrant cities in the world. Artists get the perfect toolkit to bring their ideas to life, to develop the creative business concept and advance their career or academic credentials.
It is also an opportunity to study in Berlin and meet artists and creatives from more than 55 different countries, get inspired by the unique atmosphere, explore different creative interests and dive into the metropolis of creativity at one of the biggest and most multi-faceted universities of the arts in the world.

Young Artists – those beginning their careers (up to one year after graduation) and advanced students (in their final semester) – can apply for partial scholarships for all courses at the Berlin Summer University of the Arts.
- The artistic qualification of the applicant will be evaluated on the basis of their artistic CV, letter of motivation, record of study (and degree, if applicable).
- Status of the applicant (up to one year after graduation or in the final university semester).
- The applicant’s level of need (e.g. social welfare, BaföG, unemployment assessment) will also be considered. Financial need is, however, not a requirement for selection.
