 Program Details

The University of Tübingen, a German public research university located in the city of Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, is one of the most famous and oldest universities in Germany, noted in medicine, natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities.

The M.Sc. in Neurobiology facilitated by the Department of Biology of the University offers its students in-depth instruction in the neurosciences, the opportunity to acquire wide-ranging skills in current methods of neuroscientific research, and the training to independently address and solve scientific problems in this area. The focus of the program is on the integrative neurosciences of higher vertebrates.

Admission Requirements

Read The Archaeology of Mind: Neuroevolutionary Origins of Human Emotions (Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology) to know about the basic mental processes that all mammals share, to locate the neural mechanisms of emotional expression!

Applicants should have completed their Bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least 2.5 (German grading system)

Courses are held mainly in English. But depending on the participants, courses are also held in German (Please write to beratung@biologie.uni-tuebingen.de for details and queries)

English language proficiency: TOEFL 95, IELTS 6.0, native speaker, English-language Bachelor’s degree, or English B2 (also possibly English at German Abitur level)
International applicants: German language proficiency (DSH1, Goethe-Zertifikat B1, TestDaf3333
