Program Details

The University of Applied Sciences, a public university located in Worms is one of two universities in Germany that offers the BA Aviation Management program in the English Language. The Bachelor’s degree course Aviation Management is an educational offer for students who wish to combine a business management degree in English with a course that places a strong emphasis on the knowledge and understanding of the aviation industry. Students will be given a comprehensive basic education in general business management. The main emphasis of the Bachelor’s degree course is on aviation business management.

This degree course can be studied either as a full-time degree program or as a cooperative study course in cooperation with a partner from the aviation industry. The content structure for students of the cooperative study course is identical to the one for students of the full-time degree course. Students of the full-time degree course in particular are expected to gain work experience during their studies which will be equivalent in length of time and content specifications to those of students in the cooperative study course.

The Bachelor’s study program is designed to:

  • teach the fundamental relationships about the Air Traffic Management specialist field,
  • introduce the methodology of economics, especially in business administration, and
  • prepare you for hands-on working experience or a subsequent (“consecutive”) Master’s study program

There is NO tuition fees for the course.

Eligibility/ Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following general admission requirements:

  1. General university entrance qualification or university of applied science entrance qualification.
  2. Proof of practical experience before commencing studies: either from a commercial apprenticeship or from professional experience in the aviation industry. Applicants without a commercial apprenticeship or professional experience in the airline industry have to complete a qualified commercial internship of at least 12 weeks or twice six weeks each („pre-study internship“) in the aviation industry or in the commercial area of another industry.
  3. Minimum English level B2 (CEFR) or comparable level. A language test can be taken at Worms University of Applied Sciences. Proof of proficiency must be provided by the end of the first year of studies.

In addition to the formal admission requirements, applicants should always satisfy the following subject-related prerequisites for the Bachelor’s study programme:

  • a good general education,
  • good knowledge, especially in economically and mathematically-related subjects,
  • good knowledge of English,
  • particular interest in aviation-related issues.
