Program Details

Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, with two campus locations in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort and over 7,300 students, is an innovative, interdisciplinary, and international university of applied sciences. The university currently offers 36 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in engineering, the natural and social sciences, technology, design, and more. The programs are geared towards employability, addressing current and future needs of industry by giving the students valuable expertise and experience in their fields of study. 75% of the programs are taught exclusively in English, resulting in vibrant campus culture and a rich, intercultural exchange of ideas, experience, and knowledge.

In the international Bachelor’s program “BA Agribusiness” of the Faculty of Life Sciences at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, students will acquire economic expertise and management competencies for the agricultural and food industry. The BA Agribusiness program equips the students with the economic understanding and business and management skills needed to successfully manage agricultural and food supply chains in the face of these global challenges. In international student project teams, students study the intricacies of starting and running their own business. They will also address current issues in agricultural and environmental policy in order to become an expert consultant to public institutions and other organisations. Complementary knowledge and soft skills are gained through a diversity of teaching and learning methods. Practical work experience fosters these skills and additionally helps to build networks for future career. From the fourth semester onwards, the students are able to choose from a number of elective modules to shape their individual focus and specialisation. In addition to internships, they may focus on scientific research or analysis of a practical business problem while completing their .thesis in the seventh semester. Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences’ network of partners comprises universities, research institutions, and companies in Germany and throughout the world.

Other requirements for the Agribusiness BA program include a sufficient level of English language proficiency (level B2 CEFR or better).
