Program Details
The Department of Natural Sciences of the University offers a Bachelor’s in Applied Biology, a systematic program with a practical approach to the major fields in modern biology. The teaching language is English. The program differs from many other biology courses in that the focus lies on subjects as human biology, microbiology, genetics and cell culture, whereas zoology and botany are not part of the Curriculum. The course structures are strictly modular and all academic and examination results are quoted as credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Therefore an international recognition is assured.
The 5th (and the 6th) semester may be spent abroad at one of the partner universities. A stay for one year can result in bachelor degrees of both universities! Please note: The stay abroad is subject to the condition that there are no legal restrictions on immigration or residence and that the partner universities offer sufficient vacancies.
The Bachelor degree enables the entrance either into a job or into a master program. The additional degree Bachelor of Honours (given by our partner universities in Scotland) enables you to directly start a PhD program.
There is NO tuition fees for the course.
